# Clonify

> Clonify (clonify.in) is an AI clone platform for experts. Doctors, lawyers, coaches, teachers, and other professionals upload their knowledge (PDFs, documents, Q&A, web links, and public YouTube videos) and Clonify builds an AI clone of them that clients can chat with 24/7. Clients pay per question or buy a one-time 30-day unlimited pass (no auto-renewal); the expert keeps 80% of every conversation. Built in India - UPI-first payments via Razorpay (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, plus cards and net banking) with a GST invoice on every payment, and weekly payouts to Indian bank accounts (₹10 minimum).

Clonify is NOT affiliated with clonify.com, clonify.so, cloneify.ai, or the Clonify Figma plugin - those are unrelated products. The official domain is https://clonify.in.

## How it works

1. An expert uploads their knowledge: PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, JSON, web links, pasted Q&A, and public YouTube videos. YouTube videos are learned from the video itself in any language (Hindi, Tamil, English and more), even when there are no captions.
2. Clonify builds a private brain from that material and serves a chat clone grounded ONLY in the expert's own knowledge - answers show their sources and never invent responses from the open internet.
3. Visitors chat with the clone at clonify.in/clone/{slug} (or the expert's custom domain). Visitors pay per question or buy a one-time 30-day unlimited pass (no auto-renewal); the expert sets both prices and keeps 80%. Clones can also be embedded on any website with a snippet.
4. Lead capture (Pro/Business): when a visitor asks to talk to the real expert, the clone collects their name, email, phone/WhatsApp and topic. The expert is emailed instantly and manages everything in a Lead Inbox, and can attach a booking link (e.g. Calendly) so visitors can schedule a call.
5. Question Inbox auto-learning: questions the clone could not answer are surfaced so the expert can improve their knowledge over time.
6. Verified expert badges are granted after Clonify's team manually reviews credentials; the badge appears on the clone page and in the explore directory.
7. Safety: prompt-injection detection, PII redaction, content moderation, CAPTCHA, and rate limiting on every conversation. Visitors are always told they are chatting with an AI clone.
